What is the difference between the retainer and on-demand Jira admin service?

The monthly retainer gives you a pre-allocated block of Jira admin hours each month at a discounted effective rate (from $10–$12/hr), along with priority access and dedicated contacts at higher tiers. On-demand is fully flexible — you pay $15 per hour only when you need support, with no monthly commitment required.

Do unused retainer hours carry over to the next month?

No. Retainer hours are allocated monthly and expire at the end of each calendar month. They do not roll over. If you consistently use fewer hours than your plan allows, we recommend discussing a lower tier with our team.

What happens if I need more hours than my retainer covers?

Any hours used beyond your retainer cap are billed at the standard on-demand rate of $15 per hour. We will always notify you before overages occur.
